Well we brought this toilet and paid over $2000 had a qualified licensed plumber come to site today with our $$25,000 bathroom and have been told that this toilet is not New Zealand approved and requires a $1200 additional device to comply with G12 of the building code this means without this device if there was a backwash water could end up in the drinking water of the house this was not told to us when we bought this toilet so now the tour has cost us $3200 plus installation of the toilet I have contacted this company and all they say to me it’s compliant well my license Plumber said it’s not and also I called another Plumber and they said the same thing they had to install another device which is $1200 so shame on you guys and for not taking the toilet also the mounting of the toilet is very unusual to any toilet on the market and is at risk of any blockage water could end up coming out onto the floor as all that is ceiling the toilet waste on the bottom is a compress seal if this becomes soft or flattens potentially could be a leak very disappointed this has cost me a lot of time and money today with my Plumber and electrician

Our smart toilets are fully WaterMark certified and meet all New Zealand product standards. External backflow protection (under NZ Building Code G12) is a site-specific installation requirement determined by a licensed plumber based on your property’s plumbing, not a product non-compliance.
Regarding the waste connection, the compression seal is standard for this design and provides a completely watertight seal when installed per our instructions.
While we are always happy to support our customers, we are unable to accept a return once a product has been permanently modified during installation (such as hardwiring the power cord prior to site verification). We have reached out to you directly to offer a resolution, and our support team remains available to work with you to resolve this matter.
