Yes, NZHOMEWARE models feature soft-close drawers and doors for a quieter and smoother user experience.
At NZHOMEWARE, all floorstanding vanities have been upgraded to plywood construction for improved durability and moisture resistance in bathroom environments.
Basin tops may be available in different materials, including:
Ceramic – durable, easy to clean, and highly resistant to stains
Polymarble – smooth finish, modern look, and cost-effective
Engineered stone – premium surface with high strength and a luxury appearance
Our vanities are made with moisture-resistant plywood construction, designed for bathroom environments. They are water-resistant for daily use but should not be exposed to standing water.
Most NZHOMEWARE vanities come pre-assembled or semi-assembled, making installation faster and easier. Please check the product page for specific details.
Choosing a Floorstanding Bathroom Vanity
Floorstanding bathroom vanities provide practical storage and a solid, built-in appearance. They suit compact ensuites, family bathrooms and renovations where wall mounting is not preferred.
Measure the full installation area
Check the complete width, depth and height, including any vanity-top overhang. Allow enough clearance for doors, drawers, toilets, baths and shower screens.
Do not rely only on the advertised cabinet width. Always confirm the full installed dimensions on the product page.
Check the floor and plumbing
The vanity should be installed on a level floor so the doors and drawers align correctly. In older bathrooms, removing a larger cabinet may expose unfinished flooring or previous water damage.
Check whether the waste and water connections enter through the wall or floor. Internal drawers and shelves may limit the available plumbing space.
Browse compatible basin wastes and accessories before finalising the installation.
Choose the storage and basin layout
Cupboard vanities provide straightforward storage around plumbing, while drawer models offer easier access to toiletries.
A wide single-bowl vanity provides more benchtop space, while a double-bowl design can suit shared family bathrooms.
Pair the cabinet with suitable bathroom vanity tops and bathroom mirror cabinets.
For a lighter, floating appearance, compare wall hung bathroom vanities. In narrow spaces, explore slim bathroom vanities.
Choose the vanity according to installed dimensions, plumbing position, storage layout and basin configuration—not appearance alone.
