It seem very obvious that the hose will pop out of the resting position due to the depth of it i am not prepared to take the risk of having this installed

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. Our pull out tap uses gravity weight system. Just attach the supplied weight ball to the pull out hose underneath the sink, and the spray head will slide back into place when you let go.
